Cult used aspects of EMDR in torture and to make mind control
go in deeper.
Ways cult used EMDR in torture and programming:
Cult used bilateral stimulation frequently in the torture to make the Mind Control messages go in deeper, and this was even before EMDR was created. but this makes sense to me because the cult had centuries of psychological and torture experimentation on victims and experimented on us kids.
Cult used light going back and forth like a light bar but I don't think it was actually a light bar during torture and mind control.
Cult used sound going back and forth between the ears using headphones and with subliminal messages that we could barely hear and could not make out the words, and at different times used tones instead, or static and other noises.
Cult used electric shock rapidly between both sides of the body, so bilateral stimulation with torture.
Cult also used hitting, slapping, or punching us from one side of the body to the other during torture and again with mind control messages.
Cult would intentionally remind us of past trauma, and force us to rewatch it, showing us film of past torture such as child corn and torture porn and murder while doing bilateral torture to make it go in deeper.
Cult also tried to force us to be aware of our body and all of our senses during the torture and to smell and taste and feel and hear and see, asking us, do you taste this? Do you smell this? etc. And forcing us to stay present in the torture (although other times they let us dissociate and split).
Cult also used creativity in our inner world and the DID in creating cult-created, cult trained personalities and programming in our inner world and the ways it would affect us.
Cult also created and using containers, especially locked boxes and locked rooms to hold and hide and contain and suppress folks inside and trauma memories and information that they did not want us to know about. That is why we never create containers or rooms inside.
Cult intentionally directed us into our inner world during torture but controlled what happened or was created.
Cult gave us negative messages and beliefs and commands to hold on to while they did bilateral stimulation through torture.
Cult also used breathing techniques to take us into a dissociated state, although I know breathing is supposed to be grounding for EMDR, and even did a body scan while they tortured us.
So for us we can do EMDR but we must modify it. we can't use the light bar or audio or hand buzzers, but we can watch a finger go back and forth, use tapping, and we would like to try the techniques that Garden system from a Couple of Multiples mentioned with a pen on paper or in sand. We can't rate things by numbers. we can't use containers. And we must use folks and lands inside that we have already created for a safe person and safe place. And because there is so much torture we can't go through tons of layers we just go to the layer we need and the folks inside who need to be there to process it.
